Medical review policy

HerSensi covers everyday body care and sensitive health questions. Those are not the same level of risk, so they do not use the same publishing gate.

Level 1 — everyday care

Examples include bra washing, clothing friction, shower dryness and ordinary shaving technique. These pages require editorial fact checking and credible sources where claims need support, but not automatic clinician review.

Level 2 — sensitive health education

Examples include normal discharge education, puberty changes, menopause symptoms and postpartum hair shedding. These pages use authoritative health sources, explicit uncertainty and a professional-care boundary. Core pillar pages should receive clinical review as our reviewer network expands.

Level 3 — high-risk medical / YMYL

Pregnancy symptoms, abnormal bleeding, fertility conditions, infections, PCOS, endometriosis, contraception, breast symptoms, medication and treatment-option pages require a stronger evidence standard and qualified medical review before HerSensi presents them as comprehensive medical explainers.

Level 4 — urgent or red-flag topics

Potential emergencies must prioritise clear escalation over self-care, product recommendations, ads or lengthy SEO copy. We do not use an interactive tool to “rule out” an emergency.

No invented reviewers

A page only says “medically reviewed by” when a named qualified reviewer has actually reviewed that page. Until then, the page may show sources reviewed by the HerSensi Research Desk but cannot imply clinician approval.

Diagnosis boundary

Our question flows organise information. They do not identify an infection, pregnancy complication, hormonal disorder or other diagnosis from a few answers.
